Detailed guides

Practical pages for buyers who want scope clarity before a site walk—housekeeping, security, pantry and office support, and vendor transitions in Bengaluru.

Core staffing

Best fit for daily office operations and floor continuity.

Housekeeping staff

DEPLOYED IN · CORPORATE OFFICES · IT PARKS · COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

Trained housekeeping staff for your building's daily routines. Every person is attendance-verified with photo and GPS at check-in, uniformed, and trained on our site-specific SOP. We do not supply housekeepers from labour contractors.

What you get

  • Uniformed, attendance-verified, background-checked staff
  • Site-specific SOP for washrooms, pantry, reception, workstations, common areas
  • Daily coverage tracked on the supervisor log
  • Statutory compliance (PF, ESI, bonus, gratuity) filed monthly — challans shared with your admin
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: approximately 1 housekeeper per 8,000 sqft carpet area for a standard corporate office. Use our planning tool to size for your building.

Housekeeping supervisors

DEPLOYED ON · EVERY PROWESS SITE · NON-NEGOTIABLE

A named PROWESS supervisor is on every site we run, from day one. The supervisor records what got done, flags what was missed, and sends the log to your admin. Supervisors are trained internally; we do not hire external supervisors and deploy them cold.

What you get

  • Site-owned supervisor, not a floating resource shared across sites
  • Daily morning walk with documented task verification
  • Weekly exception report to your admin team
  • Direct escalation line — you call the supervisor, not a helpdesk
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: 1 supervisor per 8–12 housekeepers. Doctrine default is 1:10.

Pantry boys

DEPLOYED IN · CORPORATE OFFICES WITH IN-HOUSE PANTRY

Pantry boys trained to handle tea, coffee, water, breakfast, and light hospitality for your office. On PROWESS payroll, uniformed, attendance-verified. Pantry staff are trained on basic food safety, serving etiquette, and pantry-area hygiene — not cross-trained from housekeeping for convenience. If your office runs pantry service, pantry staff are dedicated to that function.

What you get

  • Dedicated pantry-trained staff, not repurposed housekeepers
  • Food safety and hygiene SOP for pantry area
  • Morning setup, tea service cycles, post-meeting cleanup
  • Pantry inventory tracking on the supervisor's daily log
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: 1 pantry boy per 75–125 on-site staff depending on hospitality intensity. Default 1:100.

Office boys

DEPLOYED IN · CORPORATE OFFICES · EXECUTIVE FLOORS

Office boys for day-to-day admin support — document courier within the floor, meeting room setup, filing assistance, post-meeting reset, printing and stationery restocking. Distinct from pantry boys: office boys do not handle food service; they handle office movement and admin tasks. Both on PROWESS payroll, same compliance and supervision.

What you get

  • Floor-level admin support under supervisor oversight
  • Meeting room setup and reset between bookings
  • Document courier, filing, printing support
  • Daily task log shared with your admin
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: 1 office boy per 100–150 on-site staff or per executive floor, whichever is tighter.

Security operations

Best fit for access control, shift coverage, and incident response.

Security guards

Licensed security guards deployed per shift, per access point. All guards are verified, uniformed, and trained on visitor management, access control, and emergency response SOP for your building. Day and night shift coverage available.

What you get

  • Background-verified, licensed guards under PSARA compliance
  • Per-shift attendance verification with photo and GPS
  • Visitor management and access-control SOP trained to your building
  • Incident logging and escalation on the supervisor log
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: minimum 1 guard per entry point per shift. Multi-entry buildings typically require 2 day guards and 1 night guard.

Security supervisors

DEPLOYED WHEN TOTAL GUARD COUNT ≥ 6

A security supervisor coordinates shift handovers, audits guard deployment across access points, and handles security-specific escalations. Trained separately from housekeeping supervisors — security supervision requires specific SOP knowledge on access control, visitor protocols, and incident response. Deployed when site guard count exceeds 6, which is our threshold for dedicated security oversight.

What you get

  • Shift-handover audit and incident-log review
  • Access-control spot-checks and visitor-protocol verification
  • Escalation line for security-specific concerns
  • Compliance and deployment report shared weekly
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: 1 security supervisor when total guards reach 6. One additional at 12+ guards.

Scheduled specialist work

Best fit for quarterly or bi-annual hygiene resets and presentation standards.

Deep cleaning

SCHEDULED · QUARTERLY OR ON-REQUEST

Deep cleaning is separate from daily housekeeping — scheduled thoroughness for washrooms, pantry equipment, carpet, upholstery, glass, high-touch surfaces, and behind-furniture areas that daily housekeeping does not reach. Deployed by a specialized team with commercial-grade equipment, typically quarterly or on client request before audits, leasing events, or post-renovation handover.

What you get

  • Washroom deep-sanitization including grouting and fittings
  • Carpet, upholstery, and fabric surface restoration
  • Glass, partition, and high-touch surface disinfection
  • Behind-furniture and hard-to-reach area attention not covered daily
Planning ratio
Scheduling: quarterly standard, or on-request ahead of client audits, office reopens, or renovation handover.

Carpet cleaning

SCHEDULED · BI-ANNUALLY OR ON-REQUEST

Carpet cleaning using hot-water extraction and low-moisture methods appropriate to your carpet type and traffic pattern. Most Bengaluru corporate carpets benefit from bi-annual professional cleaning — quarterly if traffic is high or food service is adjacent. We inspect the carpet before quoting method; not every carpet needs the same treatment.

What you get

  • Pre-inspection of carpet type, condition, and traffic pattern
  • Method selection (hot-water extraction vs low-moisture vs encapsulation)
  • Spot treatment for stains, spills, and high-wear areas
  • Fast drying and return-to-use timing aligned with office hours
Planning ratio
Scheduling: bi-annually standard, quarterly for high-traffic offices or pantry-adjacent carpet.

Building support and technical care

Best fit for site holding, access routines, and first-line building faults.

Caretaker

DEPLOYED IN COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

A caretaker holds the building when nobody else does. Opening and closing, keys and access, contractor escorts, meter readings, the lights nobody remembered to switch off. This is the person who knows which door is unlocked, which floor flooded last monsoon, and who to call at 6am when something is wrong.

What you get

  • Opening and closing to a fixed daily schedule, logged
  • Key custody and access control for the building
  • Contractor and visitor escort within the premises
  • Daily walk of common areas, with exceptions raised same day
  • Meter readings, consumables checks, and first-line fault reporting
  • Handover notes at shift end, visible to your facility manager
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: One caretaker per building is the usual starting point. Multi-block buildings and staggered access hours are scoped on the site walk. This role varies more by building than any other we run. We would rather size it in front of you than publish a number that does not survive contact with your gate timings.

Multi-technician

DEPLOYED IN COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS AND IT PARK FLOORS

One trained hand for electrical, plumbing, and asset care, so a tripped breaker or a leaking trap does not become a vendor call and a two-day wait. Small faults get fixed the day they appear. Large ones get escalated with a diagnosis attached instead of a description.

What you get

  • First-line electrical: lighting, points, breakers, DB checks
  • First-line plumbing: taps, traps, flush valves, minor leaks
  • Preventive checks on pumps, motors, and common-area assets
  • Fault log with cause and action, not just a ticket
  • Escalation to specialist vendors with diagnosis attached
  • Monthly asset condition note in your compliance pack
Planning ratio
Planning ratio: One multi-technician per 25,000 to 50,000 sq ft, depending on asset density and building age. Older buildings sit at the lower end of that range, especially with lift, pump, or STP loads.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What facility services does PROWESS provide?

PROWESS provides supervisor-led housekeeping, security guard coverage, pantry and office support staff, caretaker support, multi-technician coverage, and scheduled deep cleaning and carpet cleaning for workplaces. Daily-deployed roles are on PROWESS direct payroll with statutory filings—not labour contractors for floor staff.

Does PROWESS serve offices and facilities in Bengaluru?

Yes. We scope corporate offices, IT parks, and commercial buildings in the city. Our operating footprint is Bengaluru-focused.

How does PROWESS plan a new site deployment?

Planning starts with your footprint, shifts, and services in scope. We align manpower, supervisor placement, joining formalities, and handover steps with your facility team, then confirm readiness before go-live. The planning tool supports baseline sizing; a site assessment refines scope to the actual building.

Can PROWESS help during vendor transition?

Yes. We support overlap planning, written cutover dates where feasible, consumables and keys handover, joining formalities, and supervisor ownership through the switch. The transition support page summarises how overlap and scope approval fit together.

What details are needed before a proposal is finalised?

Typical inputs include carpet or chargeable area, shift pattern, service lines needed, pantry and security expectations, visitor and access rules, any incumbent vendor context, and transition constraints. The closer this is to operational reality, the tighter the proposal.

Start with a site assessment

How does PROWESS coordinate supervisors and operations teams?

Each site has a named supervisor for shift verification, logging, and closure with your admin team. Operations maintains an escalation path for repeat issues and deployment exceptions, with agreed checkpoints rather than informal messaging alone.
